ADN' Ckrystall is the moniker of synthesizer wizard Erick Moncollin from Tarbes.In 1977 E.Moncollin spent time in Paris experimenting with synthesizers,jamming alongside composers Vangelis & Tim Blake.It was here that obtained a prototype of the Korg MS-20..While attending art school in Toulouse,E.Moncollin met Benoit Hutin,who offered a studio for the recording this album : " Jazz' Mad".Recorded over a 4 days in 1980.The sound of this revolves around the synthesiser,utilizing this one to all its capacities!!!.ADN was influenced by New Wave groups that incorporated keyboards (G.Numan/Tubeway Army,Simple Minds),as well Prog Rock & Krautrock groups such as Hawkwind,Heldon,Gong or Neu!
The result is an uncoventional/discordant conglomeration of synthesisers,drum machines & vocals that cradle the edge of the brain!!Most of the tracks are long instrumental pieces,but when E.Moncollin sings his lyrics favor love,drugs & science fiction theme!!!
